Overview
Your habit data is stored locally on your device. If iCloud sync is enabled, that data syncs through your personal iCloud account using Apple CloudKit. Habitios also uses limited, first-party anonymous product analytics as described below. Habitios does not sell personal data or use advertising trackers.
Habit data and iCloud
Your habits, completions, preferences, Daily Check-In and Reflections data, including feeling selections, and related app data are stored on your device. If you use iCloud, that data may sync across your Apple devices through Apple CloudKit. The developer does not have access to your habit data in iCloud. Some settings, including per-habit reminder notification preferences, are stored locally on the device where you set them.
Reminders and notifications
Habitios can schedule local notifications for habit reminders if you enable them. Reminder notifications are handled on your device using Apple's notification system. Habitios does not send reminder data to external servers.
Anonymous product analytics
Habitios uses basic, first-party anonymous product analytics to improve the app and monitor release health. Analytics can be turned off at any time in Habitios Settings under “Share Anonymous Analytics”, which stops future events from that app.
Analytics may include bounded categories such as device platform or class, distribution channel (TestFlight or App Store), free or premium tier, onboarding route, selected Home view, feature outcomes, and whether actions such as purchases, reminders, CSV import or export, and Apple Watch check-ins succeeded or failed.
Habitios never sends habit names, measurable values, schedules, completion history, reminder times, profile names, Reflections data, or feeling selections. Analytics are not linked to an external Habitios account, are not used for advertising or cross-app tracking, and do not include an advertising identifier.
Accepted analytics events are processed by Habitios services hosted using Google Firebase and are immediately folded into daily aggregate counters. Raw events are not stored.
CSV import and export
Habitios imports or exports CSV data only when you choose to do so. Exported files are saved or shared through the location or service you select. Habitios does not automatically upload CSV files to the developer.
Data retention and deletion
You can delete individual habits and their associated history within Habitios. You can manage or remove synced Habitios data through your Apple ID and iCloud settings. Because the developer cannot access the habit data stored in your personal iCloud account, deletion of that data is controlled by you through Habitios and Apple’s iCloud controls.
Raw analytics events are not retained. Anonymous daily aggregate counters may be retained indefinitely to understand long-term product usage and release health. They contain no Habitios account, advertising identifier, habit content, or other information that allows the developer to identify an individual, so they cannot be retrieved or deleted for a particular person. Turning off “Share Anonymous Analytics” stops future analytics events from that app.
Purchases
Purchases are handled by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. The developer does not process or access your payment card information.
Services Habitios uses
Habitios may use the following services to provide app functionality:
- iCloud / CloudKit for optional syncing across your devices.
- StoreKit for App Store purchases and entitlement status.
- Local notifications for optional habit reminders.
- Firebase App Check and Cloud Functions for protecting and processing anonymous product analytics.
Data security
Your data security depends on the security of your device, your Apple ID, and your iCloud settings. Please keep your devices and Apple ID protected.
Children's privacy
Habitios does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
